Miercurea Ciuc is a very small town of Romania, with a population of about 39.000 inhabitants. The city is situated at an altitude of 662 m, on the river Olt in the Ciuc Depression . By the interwar period Romanian name of the city was Sereda Cicului , after which the name was translated in its current form . Miko Castle , the Palace of Justice and the Heroes Cemetery are some of the city's attractions .
